Classes
Our class topics are personalized to meet the expectant parents' needs and interests including stages of labor and birth, relaxation and comfort measures for labor, nutrition, partner's support role, embracing the unexpected/unknown, baby care, and breastfeeding. Guest speakers, videos, and handouts compliment the class.
Our classes encourage parents to let go of assumptions and fears as they cultivate a healthy outlook towards their upcoming birth. Childbirth Refresher Classes are also available for those who have had a previous birth.

Amanda Reilly, CD(DONA), Certified Hypno-Doula
Bend Birth Center Childbirth Educator
My journey towards birth work began in 2004 with the pregnancy of my first child. I became fascinated with the childbearing year and the excitement a new life brings to the world. I had a wonderful birthing experience with my first, with the help and support of my husband and our Doula. After my first son was born, I was inspired to help women and their families experience an empowering, peaceful and fulfilling birth, just as I did. I am now the proud mama of two beautiful boys!
I have had the privilege of teaching childbirth education classes through the Bend Birth Center since March 2008. Classes are designed to help the expectant mother and her partner have a positive birth experience.
