Classes
Our class topics are personalized to meet the expectant parents' needs and interests including stages of labor and birth, relaxation and comfort measures for labor, nutrition, partner's support role, embracing the unexpected/unknown, baby care, and breastfeeding. Guest speakers, videos, and handouts compliment the class.
Our classes encourage parents to let go of assumptions and fears as they cultivate a healthy outlook towards their upcoming birth. Childbirth Refresher Classes are also available for those who have had a previous birth.
 Aria (our childbirth educator) and her husband, Matt, have two daughters. Aria is a midwifery apprentice, is active with Bend Attachment Parenting, and has been providing breastfeeding support to pregnant and nursing women as an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2004.

Childbirth Education Classes

Our next childbirth education class series will be held on May 31 and June 7 for those due in due in July and August. Registration required, space limited. For those due in September and October, the class will be August 9 and 10.
NEW! Hypnobabies Hypnosis Childbirth Classes
HypnobabiesTM is a complete childbirth education course that also teaches Gerald Kein’s famous Painless Childbirth techniques to Hypnobabies mothers so that they can enter hypnosis, deepen it themselves and remain mobile during labor, completely comfortable at all times. These techniques, including imagery, visualization, and hypno-anesthesia, allow our Hypno-Moms to employ “Eyes Open Childbirth Hypnosis”, easily remaining deeply in hypnosis while walking, talking changing positions; being as mobile as they would like to be during childbirth. This 6-session series will teach you how to focus your mind to achieve complete comfort during your birth, as well as providing complete childbirth education. Our birth story circles are held a couple of times a year. These are lovely evenings filled with birth stories, support, and love. Next scheduled birth story circle is Thursday, June 26, from 5-6 pm.
